The Master’s of Arts in Pastoral Ministry is designed to equip pastors and ministry leaders for faithful, compassionate, and effective shepherding of God’s people. This graduate-level program integrates biblical theology, pastoral care, leadership development, and practical ministry skills to prepare students for the complex spiritual, relational, and organizational responsibilities of pastoral leadership. Pastoral ministry is understood as a sacred calling rooted in service, humility, and obedience to Christ. This degree is for pastors, associate pastors, church planters, ministry leaders, chaplains, and experienced Christian servants who desire growth and development in pastoral competence and spiritual maturity. It is especially suited for adult learners currently serving in churches or ministry settings who seek deeper preparation for preaching, teaching, counseling, leadership, and care of congregations. The purpose of this degree is to form pastors who shepherd with wisdom, love, and integrity. Students are trained to care for souls, lead congregations, preach the Word faithfully, and guide churches through seasons of growth, transition, and challenge. Emphasis is placed on character formation, servant leadership, and reliance on the Holy Spirit in all aspects of ministry. Graduates are prepared for roles such as senior pastor, associate pastor, church planter, chaplain, pastoral counselor, ministry director, or denominational leader. This degree also provides a strong foundation for doctoral study or continued advanced ministerial training.
